QLBS.com Limited has evolved from nearly 20 years of experience in the design of Management Information Systems and Knowledge Management Systems for Consultancy Practices, Corporates and Government Departments.
In the last decade this expertise has been applied to driving transformation change, building capability and community revitalization for Economic Development Agencies at Regional, National and Industry/sector levels.
Co-founder and intellectual property leader Steve Lewin started on the research and development path in 1991 starting a company called Trident Software to specialize in sophisticated hardware/software solutions.
That work evolved as Steve and his team undertook more consultancy and design work for a growing client base and led to the foundation of Quantum Logic. There Steve pioneered the “Universal Measurement System” - methodology which facilitates the conversion of best practice models in to a measurement and evaluation framework supported by a technology platform to enable scalability.
The system can be deployed across a wide range of complex projects that require transparent monitoring and tracking as well as performance genre including Malcolm Baldrige, EFQM, ISO Compliance, Asset Management and Manufacturing.
QLBS.com was formed in 2000, the name a shortened form of Quantum Logic Business Solutions, after its own diagnostics and benchmarking showed the business had a global quality product, but needed to channel resources into developing international markets.
Enter Keith Phillips, who has an award winning international marketing background, coupled with an established track record of taking innovative New Zealand companies to international markets. Together Steve and Keith co-founded the new company.
Now Steve and his team are adding to QLBS.com’s suite of unique measurement tools, which cover wide ranging sectors such as development of knowledge systems, economic development performance, measurement and monitoring of AID projects, social policy delivery, brand equity management, new product evaluation and investment and funding due diligence.
Keith and his team have engaged a variety of partners including international engineering and environmental consultancy MWH and CMC, part of the Indian conglomerate Tata Group.
